It isn’t ‘odd’ that Kalafi is publishing his posts here. He has been doing so for longer than he’s been Mr Pohiva’s advisor. Nonetheless, I’ve asked our Communications staff to put that information at the top of his bio, rather than the bottom of the paragraph.

I will search our archive and see if I can find a more appropriate feature graphic. I think you’re right to say that a Polynesian woman would be more appropriate, given the context.

In support of CEDAW’s aim for better protection of women from all forms of violence, parliament has passed the Family Protection Act in 2013 which criminalize domestic violence.
