First of all, Chuuk cannot become an independent nation because it’s lacking Media and no Reporters. The very first important to have a stabilizing, fair and balance system of open government is to have check and balances between government, and citizen. Secretive and nepotism is creating corruption, poverty and crimes into chaos and tyranny.

I am 100 % percent anti Chuuk Independent! Why? No leadership, no vision and beyond, the ecosystem and marine will damaged badly. Pollution and diseases will crawling everywhere and threatening humanity for Chuuk State.

Thank you.

I can’t help question whether or not a small Pacific state is once again being played by bigger global (both corporate and state) powers? As an update I see Chuuk Reform Movement reported on 23 February that the plebiscite has been postponed (http://www.chuukstate.org/chuuk-secession-plebiscite-postponed/) but this group that advocates against secession warn it is not yet over. Would be good to hear more voices from Micronesia on this topic.
